Carlo Navato (b. 1968, London) is a London based photographer. His work interrogates our multi-dimensional relationship with landscape and aims to depict the mutable qualities and complexity of urban and hinterland environments, and to reveal the abundant materiality found there. Whilst simultaneously examining place and spatial context on a physical and psychological level, his work explores and questions notions of place attachment, transition, memory and identity. He was awarded an MA with Distinction in Photography and Urban Cultures at Goldsmiths College, University of London, in 2016.
